Woman seriously injured in southeast Kansas crash

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman was seriously injured in a crash in southeast Kansas Thursday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 3 p.m., a 43-year-old man from Turney, Mo., was driving a 1998 Peterbilt Tractor pulling a trailer westbound on Kansas Highway 126, just a half mile west of Pittsburg.

At the same time, a 40-year-old woman from Pittsburg was driving a 2002 Mercury Sable eastbound on Kansas Highway 126.


Wichita police respond to east Wichita shooting that critically injured victim

The KHP says the Mercury hit the back of the Peterbilt’s trailer when it was turning left into a parking lot.

The driver of the Mercury was taken to a hospital with suspected serious injuries. The KHP says she was wearing a seatbelt.
