3 April 2024
A few isolated showers are possible in the far northeastern corner of the area through about midday, but other than that, we’ll see mostly sunny skies for the rest of the week. Temperatures will try to warm up a bit on Wednesday with highs back into the upper 50s to near 60°. Northwest winds gusting up to 40mph will finally start to die down by Wednesday evening allowing for temperatures to dip into the lower to middle 30s overnight.
Warmer air moves back in for the latter part of the week. Temperatures climb back up into the lower to middle 70s by the start of the weekend. And with high pressure briefly building in, that will keep us dry through the rest of the work week.
Our next system moves in for the tail end of the weekend with showers and storms possible late Saturday and into early Sunday. Hopefully, this system moves out for Monday’s solar eclipse, but as of right now, we may end up with some cloud cover across Northeast Kansas before yet another system moves in by Tuesday.
