WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita reached a record high of 80 degrees on Tuesday. The temperature broke an old record for the date. Back in 1976, the city hit 78 degrees.
After the temperature was reached, a cold front moved through and caused temperatures to plummet into the teens and 20s across Kansas.
The National Weather Service’s Wichita office reported snow falling late Tuesday night.
The KSN Storm Track 3 team says temperatures will rebound quickly over the next few days, with highs warming into the 70s by the weekend.
