Wichita Public Library to present Black History Month program series

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Public Library will be presenting a Black History Month program series.

The five-program series, dubbed “Celebrating Wichita’s Black History,” will highlight the achievements of people and events that shaped Wichita’s history.


Boeing to hold ‘Quality Stand Downs’

The programs will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. each Thursday in February at the Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. 2nd St.

Feb. 1: Black Educators

Feb. 8: The Wichita African American Business History Project

Feb. 15: African American Journalism

Feb. 22: Black Aviators

Feb. 29: Kansas African American Trailblazers Who Shaped Our History
