WICHITA, Kan.(KSNW) — The Wichita Police Motor Unit hosted ‘Ride to Live’ Saturday.

The event took place in the parking lot of Northeast Magnet High School. The hands-on event was for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Participants had a chance to learn skills from officers who ride motorcycles professionally as part of the motor unit.

“Even though I have been a rider for 20 years, I can always learn new skills, says Brian Sabaj, who attended the event. “Maybe I’ve picked up bad habits that I need to be broken of. It’s a wonderful 70-degree afternoon, and I figured why not? This has been a blast so far.”

“I liked it because I am a new rider says Sabaj’s girlfriend Cerise Varela. “They’re teaching me the proper ways to do it. They were really nice.”

The event was held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
