WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – After being stolen in broad daylight, Wichita Habitat for Humanity’s trailer is finally recovered.

Wichita Habitat for Humanity’s executive director Danielle Johnson says the theft happened at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

They’re relieved to have the trailer back, but unfortunately this isn’t the only theft they’ve dealt with.

Johnson said the trailer that transports equipment to and from construction sites was hooked up to a truck and taken. She said they have been dealing with other thefts from their property lately.

“In that area over the past couple of months we’ve had more theft, people are experiencing some examples of theft around our warehouse, some lumber and things being stolen and unfortunately someone came out broad daylight backed their truck up and stole the trailer,” Johnson said.

She said the trailer is one of the biggest items they’ve lost.
