Why are police on scene at a west Topeka neighborhood?

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) are gathered in a west Topeka neighborhood on Thursday in response to a burglary call.

Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said officers were called just after 10 a.m. on Feb. 15 to an address in the 1800 block of Southwest McAlister Avenue. This is in response to a reported burglary.

Police are still on scene as of 11:22 a.m. on Thursday investigating the area. More information will be provided on this as it becomes available.
