Patrick Mahomes currently holds the best odds to come away with the 2024 Super Bowl MVP award.

Here is a list of the current Super Bowl LVIII MVP odds, according to Fox Sports:

Patrick Mahomes, QB, +125

Brock Purdy, QB, +220

Christian McCaffrey, RB, +450

Travis Kelce, TE, +1400

Deebo Samuel, WR, +3500

Isiah Pacheco, RB, +3500

Brandon Aiyuk, WR, +5000

Rashee Rice, WR, +6000

George Kittle, TE, +8000

Chris Jones, DT, +10000

There’s some history to go off of if you are looking to place any bets on a potential MVP.

Will Chiefs TE Travis Kelce go to Grammys with Taylor Swift?

In the last 58 Super Bowls, 32 of the winners have been quarterbacks. If Mahomes wins, it would be his third time receiving the award. Tom Brady and Joe Montana are the only quarterbacks to win MVP three times.

Of all the MVPs chosen, only six have been running backs. The last RB to get the award was Terrell Davis in 1999 at Super Bowl XXXII.

In all of past Super Bowls, a tight end has never won MVP, so Kelce could be the first player in that position to win the award. A defensive tackle has also never won the award.

There’s only been one time that the MVP was not on the winning team. Chuck Howley, a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, won the award in 1968 when the Cowboys lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl V.
