TOPEKA (KSNT) – St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and you’ll find there are more than a few different ways to celebrate the occasion in Topeka.

From partying in the downtown area to finding a local pub for eats and drinks, there are plenty of places to visit in the days leading up to Sunday, March 17 to help get you in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day. Take a look at the list below to find a place to celebrate the occasion with family and friends this year.

Happy Basset’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

What: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at this local brewery by drinking some green beer and eating up Irish food. Special St. Patrick’s Day cocktails will also be on hand with music provided by ‘Black Water Blind.’

What: From authentic Irish food to craft beers and whiskey tastings, the Topeka Irish Fest has a lot to offer guests. This free event will have multiple vendors and live music provided by ‘Carswell & Hope’ for people to enjoy.

What to know for Kansas’ next total solar eclipse

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

What: People in downtown Topeka can enjoy parade floats and fun at the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the holiday weekend. The parade runs south through the downtown area on Kansas Avenue before looping back north on SW Jackson Street at SW 10th Avenue.

When/where: Line up begins at 10 a.m. at Fourth and Kansas Avenue. Parade starts at noon.

St. Patrick’s Day at the Celtic Fox Irish Pub and Restaurant

What: This restaurant in downtown Topeka has a lot going on this year for St. Patrick’s Day. You can grab a mug of green beer, take part in the Irish Breakfast or listen to some of the live music being offered.

When: Irish Breakfast starts at 9 a.m., ‘Chance Encounter’ performs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the St. Patrick’s Party & Irish Folk Music show starts at 7 p.m.
