Wintry and wet weather is getting carried off to our east. Cloud cover will follow as it clears out from west to east, this process will take the rest of the morning and even into the afternoon but many of us will see sunshine before the day comes to a close.
Winds will not be as gusty today which will help cause fire danger to not be as high, but we should continue to avoid outdoor burning and doing anything outdoors that can cause sparks to fly. Despite winds being a bit lighter today there will still be a southerly breeze, this will turn high temperatures milder into the upper 50s and 60s.
Overall, not too bad of a start to the weekend. Winds will gradually relax after sundown and the night will be quiet with mostly clear skies. Low temperatures will not be too chilly.
Winds will pick right back up tomorrow and the stronger southerly flow, in addition to sunshine, will warm us up into the 70s. Sunday will be a warm and windy day too.
Due to the dry, warm, and windy conditions the threat of grassfires will be high. Fire Weather Alerts will be in effect for a large portion of the area and anyone that is not under a Fire Weather Watch or Warning should still be proactive in not being the spark that starts a fire.
There is a cold front that moves through mainly dry Sunday into Monday and will cool us down next week. The second half of next week is looking like our next opportunity for some moisture.
