TOPEKA (KSNT) – Warm weather drew crowds to the Topeka Zoo this weekend.
Brea Schmidt, the zoo’s guest engagement supervisor, says it was their biggest weekend of the year so far. She says about 4,000 people came out hoping to see their favorite animals.
“The weather this weekend was perfect for people to come and see the zoo,” she said. ” We get a lot more guests getting excited because, you know, they see their favorite animal and stuff. So, we really love the 70-degree weather here!”
Schmidt says to be on the lookout for an announcement coming tomorrow about an exciting event coming to the zoo this spring.
