Two men injured in southwest Kansas crash

FINNEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — Two men were injured in a crash in southwest Kansas Thursday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, just before 1 p.m., a 48-year-old man from Garden City was driving a 2017 Chevy Cruse eastbound on U.S. Highway 50. With him was a 44-year-old man from Dodge City.

At the same time, a 55-year-old man from Garden City was driving a 2020 Peterbilt southbound on U.S. Highway 83.

The KHP says the Chevy Cruse failed to yield to the right away at the intersection of US-50 and US-83 and, as a result, ran into the passenger side of the Peterbilt.

The driver of the Chevy Cruse was taken with suspected serious injuries to an area hospital. His passenger was taken with suspected minor injuries to an area hospital as well.

The driver of the Peterbilt had no apparent injuries.
