Two arrested for alleged fentanyl, drug distribution in Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Two individuals were arrested for alleged distribution of fentanyl and a host of other drug related charges in Topeka.

On Thursday, the Topeka Police Department (TPD) Narcotics Unit served a search warrant in the 3300 block of SW Mayo Ave. in connection to an ongoing investigation. Officers found fentanyl, cocain, marijuana, paraphernalia and firearms, according to a press release from the TPD.

A 33-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were arrested as a result of the search warrant.

The 33-year-old was arrested on the following charges:

Distribution of fentanyl

Distribution of a cocaine

Distribution of marijuana

Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Unlawful use of a telecommunication facility

Felon in possession of a firearm

Drug tax stamp

Unlawful to acquire proceeds from drug transactions

Battery on a law enforcement officer

Interference with law enforcement

Driving on a suspended driver’s license

The 54-year-old was arrested on the following charges:

Distribution of fentanyl

Distribution of a cocaine

Distribution of marijuana

Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Drug tax stamp

Possession of marijuana
