9 February 2024
Moisture continues to tease us. Some rain and snow is nearby to the northwest and will lead to a small chance today.
An early rain/snow shower is possible in Northwest Kansas. Some of this activity will slide east in the form of rain through the rest of the day.
We will begin to notice a change in our temperatures. Afternoon highs will range from the 40s to the 60s with the coolest temperatures being to the northwest.
Skies stay dry tonight as we drop down to around freezing. Temperatures will not rebound as much as winter cold starts to settle back into the area.
There will also be an uptick in moisture. First to the west and mainly in the form of rain.
As rain starts to spread into Central Kansas Saturday night there will be a switch to a rain/snow mix and snow to the west. Areas farther east will eventually see this switch late Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Moisture favors areas south of I-70 by midday Sunday. We will need to continue to monitor potential for snow and rain through the day.
Skies will be drier by Sunday night and especially into early next week. Temperatures will return to the 50s.
