3 March 2024

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A local charity invited people to bring out the bags on Saturday in support of children in need.

Sole Reason is a non-profit that provides shoes to local kids. On Saturday, they hosted a cornhole tournament with games going on all afternoon. This is just one of many charitable outings Sole Reason hosts, which they say is all part of their mission.

“Some of the kids we deal with, this might be the only new thing they get during the course of the year is a new pair of sneakers,” CEO Jerry Hudgins said. “We like putting together events to raise funds so we’re able to put smiles on their faces and shoes on their feet.”

They additionally held an auction where people could win a Chiefs Isaiah Pacheco jersey, a KU cornhole board and more.
