Topeka police respond to shooting report

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to a report of a shooting in southwest Topeka on Friday.

Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka told 27 News that police received a call about a possible shooting at 12:45 p.m. on Jan. 19 for an address in the 3500 block of SW Belle Avenue. Police were told the shooting may have been self-inflicted.

The incident is currently under investigation. More information will be added here as it becomes available.
