Topeka liquor store prepares for Super Bowl rush

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The biggest sporting event in America is only two days away, and local liquor stores are stocking their shelves in preparation.

Junior’s Liquor in west Topeka is excited for the big game. The owner told 27 News with it comes lots of customers who are preparing for a super party. As a result, they have to be ready for the high demand on one of the biggest weeks for alcohol sales.

“I think liquor is an important role in the social networking of tailgating, for sports in general,” Junior’s Liquor owner Neil Pipkin said. “But, in my humble opinion, football is America’s sport so I think those two go hand in hand.”

Junior’s says they will have championship bottles if the Chiefs win.
