The kids learned about the history of the circus, as well as seeing some performances, such as the human cannonball.

“My favorite part is seeing the smiles on the kids faces and seeing them in awe of some of the acts,” John Sidwell, public relations director for Arab Shrine, said.

The circus will perform six shows for the public over the weekend. The first being on Friday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., followed by three shows on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 9 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. The final two shows will be Sunday, Feb. 25 at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
