TOPEKA (KSNT) – A local organization honored businessmen and women in the 22nd Annual Business Hall of Fame.
People gathered at the Townsite Towers in downtown Topeka Thursday to celebrate the 2024 Business Hall of Fame recipients, also known as laureates.
The Topeka laureates were chosen for their accomplishments in the business world and their generosity throughout the community.
This event is hosted by Junior Achievements of Kansas and its president Bill Blazing. He told 27 News Thursday it is a celebration of the business community as a whole, while highlighting some key influential people.
“To recognize their accomplishments just as businesspeople as one thing, but to take it to the next level of the influence they have on the community and what they do to give back is just so important, I think, because the local community needs to know about these folks that are out there doing this,” Blasing said.
This year four men and one woman were recognized and inducted into the Topeka Business Hall of Fame. Those inductees are Jeff Russell, Terry and Nick Xidis, Gary Yager and Mark Yardley.
