The website describes Tallgrass as the largest independent film festival in Kansas. It says Tallgrass showcases the best films from around the world each October. It also mentions the Tallgrass parties, filmmaker discussions and filmmaking classes. It also says many films are screened at the historic Orpheum Theatre, which dates back to 1922.
The USA Today contest page says you can vote once per day for your favorite until the voting ends on March 18 at 11 a.m. USA Today will announce the winners on March 29.
Another USA Today “10Best” contest is for botanical gardens. Wichita’s Botanica was nominated and is currently in fifth place out of 20. Voting in that contest ends on March 4.
