TOPEKA (KSNT) – A local performer’s birthday is a celebration for all in the Capital City.
Topeka native T-Rell made it back home for his birthday earlier this week on the 26th. With all the touring he does, it’s rare for him to celebrate back at home.
This year is different though, Friday the 29th the R&B artist is bringing the party to the 785, with a concert birthday bash at The Woodshed in north Topeka.
Some of the celebrity performers taking the stage Friday night include J-Kwon, Dwalk, Bird and of course the birthday boy himself.
“They need entertainment, people need to smile around here,” T-Rell said. “People need to be happy. We need more of this. You’re going to see me coming back a lot more this year, I’m going to make it a point to give more of my time to Topeka.”
One way the artist is putting more time and energy into Topeka, is with the soon to open Partee’s Lounge in Central Topeka. The artist recently receiving their liquor license, and making plans for the first soft opening.
