Suspects arrested after police pursuit in Sedgwick County

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kechi Police Department has made arrests after investigators say a stolen vehicle was involved in a police chase Friday night.

A news release from the Kechi Police Department says around 6 p.m., Kechi officers noticed a vehicle driving south on Oliver at a high rate of speed entering Kechi. When they tried to stop the car, the driver fled.


Structurally deficient bridge over I-70 closed by KDOT

The police pursuit ended in the 400 block of N. Sioux Ct. where the suspects ran off.

The suspects were taken into custody approximately 45 minutes later. They were found in various parts of Kechi.

Officers from the Wichita, Bel Aire, Park City and Valley Center police departments, as well as deputies from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene to assist.
