KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Ticket sales for this year’s Super Bowl matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are set to double the amount of ticket demand from last year’s Super Bowl.
According to an expert from Stub Hub, sales are outpacing last year’s game by nearly double and are 1.5 times higher than the 49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl LIV in 2020.
Overall sales for Super Bowl LVIII are trending 90% higher than last year’s game in Phoenix at this time.
“As predicted, the first Super Bowl in Vegas is seeing strong numbers; sales are nearly double this time last year; and early demand has far surpassed the last time Kansas City and San Francisco met in Miami,” Adam Budelli, a spokesperson for StubHub, said.
Sales are outpacing Super Bowl LIV in Miami by 147% when compared to the same timeframe in 2020.
As of Tuesday, the state of California leads ticket sales. Ticket buyers from California account for 26% of all tickets sold, followed by Nevada at 8% and Kansas/Missouri at 7%.
