Temperatures were well above average today as highs inched into the 50s and 60s.
Snow has still been stubborn to melt in spots across Kansas, but with our temperatures trending upwards over the next few days, we expect to see any leftover patches of snow melt away.
Clear skies overnight as lows fall into the 20s and 30s. A few areas of patchy fog will be possible early tomorrow morning.
We warm even more tomorrow with more 60s peppering the region. A few stay in the upper 50s, but we will all see abundant sunshine at the start of the week.
The ridge of high pressure will move east, locking in place over the Plains. This will be the driving force behind this week’s weather pattern. High pressure will chase away any rain chances until the weekend.
Temperatures stay in the upper 50s and low 60s with sunny skies through the workweek. This will be a great time to get outside and get any outdoor chores done that you have been putting off. Temperatures fall back to our seasonal norm by the weekend as rain returns to the region.
Our next piece of energy brings showers to the Sunflower State come Friday. This looks to be widespread across the region and linger into our Saturday.
Conditions are trending rainier for the next 6 to 10 days as a low pressure system will track across the Southwest and into the Plains.
The added rainfall will help us to continue to chip away at the ongoing drought. While we have seen significant improvements thanks to last week’s rainy pattern, there are still areas that could use the moisture.
