28 February 2024

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — It’s a sure sign that spring is coming. Wichita’s Starlite Drive-In is opening for the 2024 season. Opening day is this Friday, March 1.

“We are looking forward to a big 2024 season,” Blake Smith, Starlite owner, said in a news release. “Going into the season, we have sold a record number of season passes. Wichitans have always supported this drive-in, and we are anxious to get open!”

For now, it will only be open on weekends. The drive-in will expand to seven days a week from mid-May through mid-August. Then, it returns to weekends only until the end of the season.

The 2024 carload season pass usually is $150 but is currently on sale for $125. It includes:

Admission for up to four people per vehicle

10% discount on food and beverage items in the Refreshment Center

The drive-in address is 3900 S. Hydraulic.

This weekend, Screen 1 will show “Beekeeper” at 7:30 and “Madame Web” at 9:25. Screen 2 will show “Dune: Part Two” at 7:15. The movie is long, so there will not be a second feature movie on Screen 2.
