14 March 2024
It is not as stormy this morning but some rain and rumbles will still be around. However, the severe threat has wrapped up. The potent storm system is also generating a strong breeze across the area.
As the day progresses any rain that lingers will mainly be farther north and west.
Now that we are behind a cold front there will be a noticeable dip in our temperatures. Highs range from the 40s to the 60s.
There will continue to be a chance of rain to the west after sundown.
As temperatures drop below freezing to the northwest there is a chance that some snow could mix with any rain. If this happens it will occur closer to the Kansas/Colorado line.
Temperatures will start to rebound over the weekend and then we will be back and forth between the upper 50s and 60s. Spring officially starts Tuesday night but it is no secret that has already felt like it the last couple of weeks.
Some rain will attempt to sneak back into the area to the southwest Friday. There is a chance that a few raindrops move into Central Kansas late Friday night and into Saturday.
High pressure over the weekend will block most of the moisture to our south from crossing the Kansas/Oklahoma line. Conditions are looking pretty dry after today until the middle of next week when rain and storm chances start to rise again.
