Commercial solar ban set to expire in March, requirements could be changing

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Sedgwick County Commissioners voted to extend the solar moratorium in Sedgwick County. It came after hours of public comment during Wednesday’s meeting.
Commissioners will have a consulting firm come in and look at the issue.
“We don’t know today what we don’t know. To make a good decision, we need someone to help us a little bit more with that,” said Sedgwick County Commissioner David Dennis.
The moratorium can be lifted early if the consultation is finished and rules are finalized before then.
