The Topeka Police Department watch commander said the roads are ‘better than yesterday’ but there is still ice in spots.
A Northeast Kansas sheriff’s office is also warning drivers of slick roads on Tuesday.
At 6:46 a.m., the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office warned drivers of very slick roads. The sheriff’s office suggested motorists stay home if possible.
“If you need to travel, be alert and give yourself plenty of time to make it to your destination,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.
