Silver Lake girls’ basketball wins 3A state title

HUTCHINSON (KSNT) – Fourth time is indeed a charm for the Lady Eagles.

Silver Lake girls’ basketball beat Hesston, 66-61, in Hutchinson on Saturday’s 3A state title game. It’s the first state championship win for the program since 2016.

The Lady Eagles not only earned the 3A crown, but also completed a rare perfect season. They finished 26-0.

SLHS beat Hayden in the semifinals on Friday and Haven in Wednesday’s quarterfinal match.
