Kansas nurse who died on medevac flight honored and remembered

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and another injured. It happened around 15th and Poplar, which is just east of Grove, around 2 a.m. Tuesday
Police are in the early stages of the investigation and do not have anyone in custody. Right now, investigators are working to figure out what led to the shooting.
“We have detectives in from our homicide unit. They are going to be taking over the investigation, talking to people, collecting evidence, and trying to piece together what occurred,” said Capt. Travis Rakestraw, Wichita Police Department.
No information on the victims has been released.
