Serious injuries after Chase Co. police chase crash

STRONG CITY (KSNT) – A 29-year-old woman from Wichita was seriously injured after a crash west of Strong City on Wednesday.

At 12:07 p.m., a 20-year-old man from Wichita was fleeing from police in a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500. The 20-year-old was traveling eastbound on I50 and exited onto the westbound entrance ramp going the wrong way onto K177, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol Crash (KHP) log.

The vehicle lost control while turning south, left the road and rolled several times before coming to rest on its wheels, according to the KHP crash log.

The 29-year-old passenger was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. The 20-year-old driver was also taken to an area hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Both occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the crash log.
