Semi crash shuts US 77 down south of Junction City

UPDATE 7:05 a.m.: The Geary County Sheriff’s Office is asking commuters to use J Hill Road to Skiddy Road to Skiddy West back to US 77.

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Geary County Emergency Management (GCEM) is currently working the scene of an overturned semi crash south of Junction City.

At 6:38 a.m. the GCEM reported both lanes of US 77 are shut down while crews work the scene.

The crash involved one vehicle and minor injuries. There were two occupants in the semi at the time of the crash. Garry Berges with GCEM said the crash involved minor injuries.

Berges said it could take three to four hours to clean up the scene and reopen the highway.
