Scooterist critically injured in southwest Wichita crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A scooterist was critically injured in a crash in southwest Wichita late Sunday afternoon.


Update: Missing Oberlin man found deceased

According to the Wichita Police Department, they received a call around 4 p.m. for the report of a crash near the intersection of West McCormick Street and South Elizabeth Street.

Upon arrival, they found a person who was on a scooter with critical injuries to their head. They were taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the vehicle who hit the scooterist stayed on the scene to talk to the police.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
