Salina school district employee arrested in Harvey County case

SALINA, Kan. (KSNW) — An employee of the Salina school district has been taken into custody in connection to an investigation in Harvey County.

The Salina Police Department says detectives from the Newton Police Department, along with detectives and police from SPD, went to Lakewood Middle School, where they contacted an unidentified employee. That employee was arrested and taken to the Salina Police Department.

Police say the person’s name and potential charges will be released at a later day. However, they say it is a criminal matter in Harvey County that is under investigation.

KSN has reached out to the school district for a formal statement on the employee’s arrest and is awaiting their response.
