Roads icy after snow in northern Kansas

16 February 2024

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Several slide-offs have been reported on roads and highways across northern Kansas. Snow moved through the area overnight, causing slushy and snow-packed roads.

On Interstate 70, west of Salina, Kansas Highway Patrol troopers are working a crash involving a Fed-Ex semi and another semi.

Further northwest, the Gove and Sheridan County Sheriff’s Offices said roads are slick, icy, and snow-packed. Sheridan County says there have been several slide-offs on Kansas Highway 23 south of Hoxie.

KHP troopers are reminding residents to buckle up and slow down for the conditions.
