It will be a slightly cooler day after our most recent cold front. Overall, Tuesday will be pretty quiet with a breeze and a mix of sun and clouds.
The front has sparked showers and storms to our east. Even though we did not see any moisture with this system, it will be our turn soon with the next one.
High pressure breaks down into Wednesday and will allow some moisture to develop. There is a small chance for a rain/snow shower tonight to the west.
A shower or storm will be possible during the day Wednesday too but most of the area will stay dry. Unsettled conditions do not line up well until Wednesday night.
After gaining a few degrees mid-week, temperatures will begin to drop again during the second half of the week as moisture moves in.
Scattered showers and storms will be possible into Thursday. Rainfall could be heavy at times. The best chance will be between Central and Eastern Kansas during this time.
We will need to monitor storms closely through Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center has included southern portions of the area in an isolated severe risk. Wet and stormy weather will be scattered through the day.
Some showers will stick around through Friday. As cooler air moves in there will be some wintry weather nearby to our west. Some snow mixed with rain could make its way into Western Kansas as we get ready to head into the weekend.
Moisture moves out just in time for the weekend. Expect plenty of sunshine Saturday and Sunday with warming temperatures.
