Pilot unharmed after emergency landing in Harvey County

NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) — A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Harvey County Thursday.

Newton Fire and EMS says the single-engine plane landed safely in a field approximately 3 miles south of the Newton City/County Airport. The pilot was reportedly experiencing engine failure, which led to the emergency landing.
