Person killed during hit-and-run inside KU Health parking garage

WESTWOOD, Kan. — One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday morning inside a parking garage at the University of Kansas Cancer Center in Westwood.

According to a news release, a pedestrian was hit and killed in one of its parking garages on its Westwood campus. They did not say what time the person was hit.

KU Health said patient care has not been interrupted, and garage parking for patients and employees is being rerouted.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating what led up to the crash and who hit the pedestrian.
