One critically injured after vehicle hits tree

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — One person is critically injured following a crash in northeast Wichita early Sunday morning, according to Wichita Police.

It happened at 37th St. and Tobin Ave. just after 5 a.m.

WPD said the driver possibly hit some signs before crashing into a tree.

The person was trapped inside and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Wichita Police are looking into whether impairment or a medical condition were factors.
