Occupied building struck by gunfire in Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) – On Sunday, the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to reports of gunshots that resulted in an occupied building being struck.

At 8:30 p.m., the TPD responded to the reports in the 2400 block of Southeast Bellview Avenue. Officers found a nearby residential building was struck by gunfire. The building was occupied but the TPD confirmed there were no injuries.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to the TPD.
