Winds finally relax for tonight, and we’ll have mainly clear skies overhead. That’ll lead to a bit of a chillier night, at least compared to the last few nights that we’ve had. Overnight lows should be able to drop into the middle 30s.
Friday starts off mainly sunny and pleasant with a lighter easterly breeze around 5-10 mph. Highs look to make it into the upper 50s and low 60s before a cold front makes it’s way through in the afternoon and evening. That front does look to bring some extra cloud cover with it and a slight chance for a few showers. Saturday will only be in the mid to upper 40s with a northerly breeze.
We’re eyeing another system for late weekend that may bring even chillier weather to the area. We’ll have more details as it gets a bit closer to us as the track of the system is still in question. Right now, the system passes by mostly to the south of us, but there’s a slight chance for some snowflakes late Sunday and early Monday. The best chance for snowfall will be over the southern half of the state, including areas along and south of I-35 in our viewing area.
After that system, we quickly clear and temperatures rebound into the 50s by the early to middle part of next week. It looks like most of next week should be dry, too.
