Freeze Warnings that will be in effect through this morning only include a few of our easternmost counties but everyone is starting the day below freezing. As things outside continue to blossom, bloom, and green up, be sure to protect your sensitive plants as there will still be some more overnights/early morning with freezing temperatures.
Despite another cold start this morning, high temperatures will begin to improve. Afternoon highs in the 50s will still be below average but at least it will not be as chilly as Tuesday.
There is a weak disturbance tracking through the area and has sparked a few snow showers to the north. Any accumulation will be very little to none.
The rest of the area stands a small chance at seeing some moisture. Any wintry weather switches over to rain once temperatures get above freezing. Most of us will stay dry despite today’s chance for showers.
Any rain around fizzles out quickly through the evening, the rest of the night will be dry. Temperatures drop to and below freezing during the overnight.
Temperatures continue to rebound over the coming days and parts of the area will even be a few degrees shy of 80 at times. Another cooldown is expected the early to middle part of next week.
The next temperature drop will be associated with another storm system. Chances for wet and wintry weather will go back up too between late Sunday and Tuesday. This next system will start as rain but wrap up as a mixture of snow and rain.
