Manhattan man arrested following alleged stabbing

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – A Manhattan man was arrested in connection to a stabbing incident that happened on Friday, March 1.

When officers arrived in the 200 block of N. 9th they found a 34-year-old man had been stabbed. The man was taken to an area hospital and then later transferred to a larger hospital for additional care, according to the Riley County Police Department (RCPD).

At 6:41 on Friday, March 1, a 45-year-old man was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and knowingly using physical contact in a rude/angry manner with a weapon. The man’s bond was set to $100,000 and he is currently in the Riley County Jail, according to a press release from the RCPD.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to the RCPD.
