MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Manhattan officials close some roads for pothole repairs.
The City of Manhattan posted on social media the westbound lanes of Anderson Avenue from 12th Street through 14th Street will be closed until further notice for pothole repairs. City crews will be repairing potholes on the following streets this week:
Kimball Avenue from Candlewood Drive to Hudson Avenue
Fort Riley Boulevard starting at Westwood Road and working east
Anderson Avenue from Seth Child Road to Wreath Avenue
Unfortunately, the rain washed away some of our cold patch over the weekend so we are having to redo some previously completed temporary repairs. This will continue to be an ongoing challenge until the asphalt plants reopen later this spring.
Excerpt from City of Manhattan Social Media Post
The City of Manhattan said it has used more than 300,000 pounds of cold patch material to repair potholes in the city in January of 2024.
