Man jumps creek, crashes into tree in Brown Co.

BROWN COUNTY (KSNT) – A man was taken to an area hospital after jumping a creek and hitting a tree in Brown County on Sunday.

At 4:40 p.m., a 30-year-old man from Kansas City was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta east on 170th St. The driver continued eastbound through a stop sign at U73. The driver lost control of the vehicle, went into a ditch, jumped a creek and hit a tree, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) crash log.

It was unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the log.
