Hays Police Department warns of scammer impersonating officers

WELLINGTON, Kan. (KSNW) — A South Haven man has been charged in connection to a fentanyl overdose death that happened in 2020.
Thirty-seven-year-old Dennis Farley was formally charged Tuesday in Sumner County District Court for the Sept. 15, 2020, death of Lane Hallman. Farley is accused of providing Hallman with the fentanyl that led to his overdose death.
He was formally charged Tuesday with distribution of a controlled substance; causing death or in the alternative, first-degree murder, interference with a law enforcement officer, and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance using a communication facility (cell phone).
His bond has been set at $100,000.
