Major League Table Tennis event coming to Wichita

6 March 2024

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Major League Table Tennis is coming to Wichita.

Visit Wichita and Wichita State University are hosting the event April 5-7 at Charles Koch Arena. Four teams in the West Division of the league will face off all three days.

The West Division consists of the Bay Area Blasters, Portland Paddlers, Seattle Spinners, and Texas Smash. The Wichita event is the last before the East and West Division meet in Chicago for the Championship, where they will compete for the $100,000 grand prize.

Visit Wichita says all eight teams in the league are comprised of top players from 40 countries. During the event, they compete in a team game format, with the final game the league calls the “Golden Game.”

In the “Golden Game,” every member of each five-person team rotates every four points. The first team to reach 21 points wins.
