What We’re Tracking
Chance for light snow tonight
Another shot of cold air for late week
Back to normal temperatures by Monday
**WIND CHILL ADVISORY** – In effect for the entire area starting tonight at 9pm until noon tomorrow. Then it goes into effect again 6pm Friday evening until noon Saturday.
Winds pick up from the north and west with gusts around 30mph as temperatures fall into the single digits tonight. That’ll lead to dangerous wind chills again around -20° by early Friday morning. Friday afternoon, we try and rebound into the teens, but overnight lows will drop in the single digits below zero with wind chills around -20° to -25° early Saturday.
The stretch of bitter cold doesn’t last quite as long as our first one, and by Sunday and Monday high temperatures should make it into the middle to upper 30s and even some lower 40s before our next chance for precipitation arrives early next week.
As it stands right now, the main precipitation type for early next week appears to be rain, but we’ll let you know if that ends up changing in the coming days. We will take any bit of precipitation considering January is our driest month.
