TOPEKA (KSNT) – Starting a new business may seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be something you try to do alone.
Classes on how to start your own business in Topeka are being held in several months throughout 2024 at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library. Each workshop is planned with help from the Washburn School of Business.
People who attend the workshops will learn the basics for how to start a small business by learning about local resources, how to research ideas and markets, legal and registration requirements, business plan resources and financing opportunities, according to the library’s website. The workshops are held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:
March 20
April 17
May 15
July 17
Sept. 18
Oct. 16
Nov. 20
All participants will need to register ahead of time to be able to attend the workshops. This can be done by sending an email to washburnsmallbusiness.com or [email protected] or by calling 785-215-8375. More information on each class, including which areas of the library they will be held in, can be found on the library’s events page.
