LAWRENCE (KSNT) – The Jayhawks are red-hot at the perfect time.
March has finally arrived and KU women’s basketball closed out the regular season winning eight of its last nine games. The regular season finale, which also served as senior day in Lawrence, saw Kansas top No. 20 Oklahoma 83-74.
KU freshman S’Mya Nichols led all scorers with 29 while Holly Kersgieter celebrated her final game in Allen Fieldhouse with a 26-point performance.

With the win, Kansas finished the regular season 18-11 and 11-7 in Big 12 play.
